My interests and work can be divided along three ‘L’s.
- Linguistics: I am a PhD candidate at the Australian National University, Canberra. I research language contact between Hindi and Marathi, and my research interests lie in historical linguistics, multilingualism and sociolinguistics.
- Literature: I translate literature from Korean to English. I participated in the translation for ‘The Trunk’ by Kim Ryeoryeong (HarperCollins, 2024) and am currently translating Kim Yudam’s <이완의 자세>. I teach literary translation as an instructor for the Korean Literature Translation Workshop, supported by the Literature Translation Institute Korea and the ANU Korea Institute.
- Languages: I am an experienced language teacher and tutor. I have taught French at the Alliance Française de Canberra, and both French and Korean as tutor at the Australian National University. I have also taught both languages as a private tutor.
